Submit Your Article to SchoolArts magazine

Guidelines

Visit our Writer’s Guidelines page for tips on writing articles.

Files required for submission include copy for the article, images, and student permissions forms. Consider including links to websites, videos, or handouts to support your article. Please use the following guidelines.

Articles

  • Length: 500–800 words
  • Preferred format: Word (.doc and .docx) document
  • If your submission has more than one author, include their name, email, and mailing address in the article document.

Images

  • Format: jpeg, tiff, or psd
  • Size: minimum 4 x 4" (1200 x 1200 px)
  • A minimum of 4 images are required. To be considered for a cover, they must be at least 9 x 12" (2700 x 3600 px).
  • Captions for each image are required and should include information such as the student’s first name, grade level, artwork title, description, etc. Please list the file name with the corresponding caption information in your article document.

Additional Resources (optional)

  • Include any relevant resources, such as handouts, slideshows, videos, etc. or include links to your resources in your article document.
  • For videos, submit either mp4 or MOV formats.
