Jane Dalton & James Rees

Sessions will be delivered by skilled art educators with a strong artistic creative practice and years of meaningful experience in the classroom and art world.

  • Jane E. Dalton is an Associate Professor of Art Education at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte. She earned her Ph.D. in Expressive Arts in Education, and an MFA in Textile Design and Weaving. Jane is also a Registered Expressive Arts Consultant Educator (REACE). Her teaching includes professional development workshops for K–12 teachers, preparing pre-service K–12 Art Education teachers, as well as expressive arts workshops.   • James Rees advocates for the arts nationally and locally to empower students and their teachers in and through the arts. He currently serves as the Commissioner At Large for the NAEA National Research Commission and has previously served on the board as the Secondary Division Director and VP. He is an Art 21 Educator and has worked as a mentor teacher for School of the Arts Institute of Chicago’s Teacher’s Institute for Contemporary art (TICA). Learn more about James on his website.
