Winter
In this painting, the artist has used a strict one-point perspective. All the lines of the painting, i.e. the lines of the road and the line formed by the height of the brown grass on the left side converge towards the center of the painting. The line of horizontal trees forms the horizon line on which the lines converge. Such emphasis on recession heightens the sense of desolation, bleakness or loneliness in the work which is suggestive of winter in the country.
