Fulang-Chang and Me
(image added 2008) Kahlo was influenced by pre-Columbian decorative motifs and the often stiff plasticity of pre-Columbian sculpture. Surrealists at the time appreciated her work because at the time they were heavily influenced by "primitive" (non-western European) art and magic.
