Animals,
Animals is typical of Tamayo's mature painting style, a combination of the influences of Cubism and Expressionism, with subject matter of a more traditional nature. These dogs were probably influenced by the ceramic sculptures from the Mexican Colima culture (flourished c200 BC to AD 500).
