Session 1 - Darlene St. Clair

Reflect on the importance of collaboration throughout communities. Hear from distinguished indigenous scholar Iyekiyapiwin Darlene St. Clair who is working to advance inclusive and diverse perspectives in arts education. The important work Darlene is doing can be examined in her 2015 keynote about Protecting Sacred Sites.
Session 2 - Marilyn Stewart

Explore how artists working today provide hopeful insight for living in a challenging world. Curriculum expert, Marilyn Stewart examines collaboration through the stories and lessons from contemporary artists. Session 3 - Leah Smith and Michael Townsend
February 23rd, 1pm–3pm EST
Examine how collaboration is different than teamwork. Learn strategies for facilitating meaningful art experiences for students with world-renowned Tape Artists Leah Smith and Michael Townsend. Learn more about the work Michael and Leah do with schools in this short video.
NAEA 2023 Convention Cocktail Reception
