Explorations in Art, 5th Grade, Student Book

Each Student Book
grades 1-5 has more:

- Studios (54 per grade level)
- Art criticism based on images, and
- Student artwork
than any other K-5 program.
Six Theme-Based Units
THEMES Each Student Book includes six units, each organized around a universal theme relevant to students' lives. These themes foster meaningful connections to artworks across time and place. Elements and principles are embedded throughout each unit to ensure continual application and understanding.
STRANDS Each unit theme is organized into three teaching and learning strands that explore specific aspects of the unit theme. Each strand includes two concept lessons--each with a studio--and an extended Studio Exploration with hands-on, cumulative reinforcement of the two previous concept lessons.
Student Books also available as Big Books and e-Books.
Big Book GRADES K-2
The Big Book in grades 1 and 2 includes the same pages as the Student Book.
e-Book GRADES K-5
The electronic edition of our Student Book includes all of the content from the print version, with special features, such as the ability to magnify images, and to easily find a specific unit, lesson, or image.
