Dish: confronting ibexes
Many of the Mesopotamian cultures left behind particularly skilled metalwork vessels which were buried in graves. This dish features reclining ibexes as decoration, a theme popular in many of the cultures of the Fertile Crescent. Thus, the Elamite artisans worked in compositions which date back to the 3rd or 4th millennium BC
