Jaci has more than forty years of teaching experience. She has been a Classroom Teacher, Gifted and Talented
Specialist, Title I Reading Teacher, Migrant Language Arts Tutorial Teacher, Supervisor of Paraprofessionals, a Primary Resource Teacher,
and an Adjunct Professor in Art Education. She is coauthor of Art to the Core, an elementary art appreciation program published by
Davis.
Jaci has extensive experience in conducting workshops in art education across the country. She has also developed curriculum for school
districts including support in the art classroom for integrating language arts and ensuring multicultural inclusion. Jaci has a BA in
Elementary Education and an MA in Gifted Education from the University of South Florida.
Shirlee Francis Regional Consultant
Shirlee has been an art educator for more than thirty years. She was an art teacher and subsequently the Art
Curriculum Coordinator for Pulaski County School District in Arkansas and an Adjunct Professor in Art Education at UALR. Shirlee was
awarded the Administrator of the Year from the Arkansas Art Education Association and received the Patron of the Arts Award from the
Arkansas Young Artists Association.
She served on the Arkansas State Textbook Visual Art Selection Committee, K–12, and on the Arkansas State Visual Arts Framework
Committee. Shirlee was also chairperson on nine art curriculum guide writing committees. She developed an elementary voluntary art program
which included twenty-five schools. Currently, Shirlee conducts professional workshops in art education throughout the United States. She
holds a BSE in Art Education from Arkansas State University and an MSE in Secondary Administration from the University of Arkansas.
Cindy Walker Regional Consultant
Cindy has over 30 years of experience in K–12 art education as both an Art Teacher and an Art Coordinator.
She is the Founder, Program Director, and an Instructor for the St. Louis Art Academy in St. Louis, Missouri.
Cindy has been a recipient of the Emerson Excellence in Education Award and was named Rockwood School District and Rockwood Valley Teacher
of the year.
Currently, Cindy conducts professional workshops on art education throughout the United States. She holds a BS in Art Education from the
University of Missouri and an MA in Art Education from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri.
